It is important to be in control of your Lightwriter at all times and be able to personalise settings to work the way you want them to. If you just want to quickly change the volume of your Lightwriter’s speech there is an easy to use shortcut to do this. If you are a more advanced user you may want to adjust Key Click Volume, activate Silent Mode, change your Alarm volume and more.
Recommended solution:
Speech Volume Shortcut
- Press Shift-Menu on any screen on your Lightwriter to see the quick setups menu. Here you can quickly change the Speech Volume.
- Use the Number keys or Next, Back, and Do to increase or decrease each setup. Press On/C to save the setting and return to what you were doing.
Other Volume Settings
- From the main menu go to Setups (option 7), then Volumes (option 2).
- From here you can change Speech Volume, Silent Mode, Buzz Volume and Key Click Volume.
- If you would like to adjust Prompt Volume, Alert Volume, Alarm Volume or Shift-Buzz Volume you will need to have your Advance Mode activated first:
a) From the main menu go to Setups (option 7), then Information (option 8) and then find Advanced Setups and press Do.
b) Use Next, Back and Do keys to enable Advanced Setups.
c) When finished, return to the main menu by pressing the Menu (!) key.
