Live longer at home with increased quality of life
Together with Oslo municipality (the districts St.Hanshaugen, Østensjø, Nordstrand and Solfjellshøgda health center) and Oslo Met - the metropolitan university, we are researching social welfare technology, such as Komp Pro.
Since 2022, 300 end-users over the age of 67 with a decision on municipal home services in Oslo have used Komp Pro, together with their relatives and employees in home services and at health centres.
The aim is to investigate whether social interaction, through Komp Pro, can make it possible for us to stay at home for longer, with an increased quality of life. The project is supported by the Research Council of Norway, and is the first and largest research and innovation project focusing on the effect of social interaction.
Economic estimate - quote: Oslo municipality estimates that if social technology can prevent the number of days in long-term care homes by, for example, 30, 90 or 180 days, savings for the municipality will be 240 million, 720 million, and 1.44 billion NOK/year.
