Motivation

Increased motivation and willingness to perform activities

Evidence

Research studies show that users get more motivated and willing to perform activities and events when using Abilia´s cognitive assistive tools.

When users feel that they can structure, manage and have more control of their daily lives they become more confident and motivated to perform daily activities and events. Users say that they are more willing and motivated to take their own initiatives and perform more enjoyable activities.

Findings from separate research studies, in which students with cognitive disabilities in high school and adult education were given appropriate technical support tools, show that even relatively small measurements can increase the motivation of the students and increases their ability to achieve objectives. When using technical support tools, many students experienced increased study results and better ability to cope with difficult situations in school. Absence from school decreased. The technical support tools were used both at school and outside school.
